Yesterday morning the idea came up that I was riding, that evening, the Cube Beach Challenge with the Lola Fat bike racing Team.

This beach race in Kijkduin is over 55 minutes and one round.

The other riders are competitive beach racer and they were flying off from the start.
First to the South with a strong headwind. 

From the start the water was rapidly coming in and soon all the hard sand was gone.
The beach challange became more a triathlon than a bicycle race. Even for Surly Pugsleys and Moonlander.

But we held on and all five Fatbike racers finished.

Back at Lola we had an excellent diner (pizza and chips)

Next year we will back…trained.
